Modern AI cameras recognise number plates on the device. What they don't do is open your barrier, check the plate against a list that expires on Friday, write it to the system you actually use, and let you prove a year later who came through at 03:14. That's this.

Decisions are made on site against a cached list. If the internet drops, the gate keeps opening for the people it should. Reads sync back up when the link returns.
An unrecognised plate is a policy decision, not an error. Fail open, fail closed, or escalate to your own system — set per site, because a car park and a substation are not the same problem.

Every decision can fire a webhook to your access controller, gate relay or building system — filtered by outcome, so a barrier opens on ALLOW while DENY goes somewhere else entirely. For work beyond a web request, it pairs with TITA Automation.
Anything that can send a plate read over the web is supported. If your camera runs edge ANPR, you're most of the way there already.
Edge plate recognition is normally a licensed add-on from the camera vendor. We'll tell you exactly what your specific model needs before you commit to anything, and we confirm your exact model against a live camera during onboarding rather than assuming it works.
A number plate identifies a person. That makes this a data-protection question, not just a security one — and most ANPR products answer it by sending everything to somebody else's cloud.
We built it the other way round. Recognition happens on your camera, decisions happen on your site, and plate data stays with you unless you deliberately configure otherwise.

Your camera vendor's edge-ANPR licence is separate and billed by them. We'll be clear about that cost up front rather than letting you discover it later.
